Trinity County and Weaverville area are often overlooked when poeple think of California Gold Producing areas. In fact is it one of the richest areas in the state. In fact some believe richer than most areas of the mother lode. In addition to having a lot of gold, the size of the gold is amazing. The Area is also know for some fabulous Platinum nuggets, some of which are in the Smitsonian. This book put out in the late thirties and now back in print by Sylvanite Publishing has great information on the Gold Deposits, their mining history, geology, production and more.
