Roasting Gold and Silver Ores Mining Mineral Processing Book
Product Description
Roasting Gold and Silver Ores
and
the Extraction of their Respective metals without Quicksilver
by
G. Kustel
Gold occurs many times in nature as Native Gold, but more times than not it occurs with complex ores such as sulphides or tellurides. When this occurs it is very hard to seperate them out using traditional gravity methods. However if you oxidize the ores first by Roasting them then you can use these methods, as well as others to recover the precious metals more easily. This text, written in the late 1800's was the defacto standard for this process. Today, companies that roast before processing use the same methods that were used back then very little has changed. Miningbooks.com which specializes in putting old mining texts back in print has recently republished this book. Get your copy today.
